Shooting sport community encouraged to sign up for ITA webinars

We are calling for our shooting sport members to register for the upcoming IF Webinar Series, hosted by the International Testing Agency (ITA).

This series, taking place over three consecutive Wednesdays from April 9 to 23, will inform participants about the anti-doping, banned substances and testing procedures.

The education takes place from 14:00 to 15:00 CEST each week, with the first being "Introduction to anti-doping" on April 9, giving an overview of athletes' rights and responsibilities, anti-doping rule violations, consequences of doping and proactive reporting.

On April 16, an hour-long lecture will be held on the "Prohibited List, Medications, TUEs and Supplements", which includes the principle of strict liability. Finally, the series concludes on April 23 with 'Testing', which will include testing procedures, the Athlete Biological Passport, testing pools and regulations regarding whereabouts.

Those who complete the series, will receive certification, with evidence that they have participated. To be eligible for this, you must attend at least one webinar live or access the recordings in the IF Webinar Series toolkit to receive a link to the test following the third seminar. The test is open for six weeks to be completed and those who pass receive the certificate.

It will be available in English, with simultaneous translation in Arabic, French, Madarin, Russian and Spanish.

You can sign up for the series on Zoom, here.
